The OED — Organisational Empathy Diagnostic — gives you a scored profile across seven dimensions of empathy. No consultant required. No commitment. Results in 10 minutes.
The Process
The OED is designed to be completed independently. Stuart reviews every set of results personally — which is why access is by request rather than open sign-up.
Submit your name and email using the button below. Stuart will reply with your access code and some context on what to expect.
35 questions across seven dimensions. Answer honestly — the diagnostic is most useful when it reflects reality, not aspiration.
Your scored profile appears immediately on completion — with a percentage score per dimension and personalised recommendations for each area.
If you'd like to talk through what your profile means for your organisation, Stuart offers a free 30-minute discovery call. No obligation.
What it measures
The OED is built on Stuart's Threefold Model of Empathy — the only framework that accounts for all three dimensions of how human beings actually experience empathy. Most training programmes address only one.
The ability to understand another person's perspective — to know, intellectually, how they see the world. The dimension most empathy programmes address, and still often get wrong.
The ability to share in another person's emotional experience — to feel alongside them, not just understand them. The dimension most associated with trust, care, and psychological safety.
The somatic, body-level dimension that most people have never heard of — and the dimension Stuart's PhD identified as the missing piece in nearly every empathy programme ever run.
The three dimensions are then scored across four organisational contexts:
How empathy shows up — or doesn't — in how decisions are made and people are led.
How well the organisation genuinely understands and responds to those it serves.
The quality of empathy between colleagues — collaboration, conflict, and care.
Whether empathy is structurally embedded in how the organisation works — or just aspirational.
The OED is a self-report instrument and gives a directional read, not a forensic audit. A full Empathy Audit involves interviews, observation and structural analysis — but most organisations find the OED raises exactly the right questions to have that conversation.
Your Results
Results are immediate and do not require any further input from Stuart to interpret — though a conversation is available if you want one.
Each dimension is scored as a percentage. You see immediately where your organisation is strong and where it is most at risk — across all seven areas simultaneously.
Every dimension produces tailored recommendations based on your score — specific, actionable, and grounded in how the Threefold Model applies to organisations like yours.
If you want to explore what your results mean in practice — what a realistic intervention looks like, what it costs, and what outcomes to expect — Stuart offers a free 30-minute call. No sales pressure.
Who it's for
The OED is free because building a case for empathy training is hard — and you shouldn't have to pay for the evidence you need to make that case. It is useful at any stage.
Send your name and email address. Stuart will reply with your access code within one working day — usually the same day.
